The process included full soundboard and plate refinishing, bridge repair, new strings, and re-plated hardware. The action was rebuilt with Renner wippens, hammers, shanks, and flanges, along with new felts, bushings, and back checks. Every element was regulated, tuned, and voiced to deliver the signature Baldwin tone and touch once again.

The piano’s transformation was completed by turning the classic black to a Hot Rod Red High-Gloss finish — a bold, mirror-like coating that turns this classic American instrument into a modern showpiece. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and striking color gives the Baldwin ST both its heritage sound and a statement presence worthy of the stage or studio.
