Upon inspection, this Heirloom Steinway M revealed significant damage to the case, likely due to years of wear and tear. Notably, the case exhibited missing corners and veneer. However, the piano’s classic and elegant Steinway trademark Ebony satin hand rub finish remained intact, providing a glimpse of its former glory. Meticulous restoration efforts were subsequently undertaken, including adding an original Steinway decal and polishing the original hardware. These efforts culminated in restoring this Heirloom M to its former state, a testament to the sophisticated and timeless finish that characterizes a Steinway piano.
